Today a press conference was Organised by ABVP Jammu And Kashmir at Press Club Jammu
in which ABVP JK State Secretary, CWC Member Deepak Gupta addressed the press
conference along with CWC Member, State Jt Girls Working Incharge Naina Dogra, Muskan
Anand Central University Jammu Secretary,
SWC Sonali Vaid, ABVP Jammu University Suyash Gupta and Jammu Mahanagar
Secretary Kunal Sadotra.
While addressing the press conference Deepak said that State Executive Council Meeting of
ABVP JK was concluded at Udhampur from 18-20 January, 2019 in which Education Related
issues like Recent SAC issue of the students which has ignited protests in Jammu and Kashmir,
no academic calendar in Jammu and Kashmir, semester system in UG courses to be taken
back was discussed.
Today a delegation of ABVP Met Chief Election officer J&K IAS Shailender kumar who informed ABVP about the campus Ambassador Programmes and the registration of new voters by way of SVEEP Programme Coordinated by CEO Jammu Kashmir and Said that CEO has Expectations from organization like ABVP to Work in a positive way and aware voters to vote for 100% voting.
He said that ABVP is going to start a Voter Awareness Campaign from 1st February to 15th
February 2019 throughout the State in which ABVP is going to paste 50000 posters in public
places for promoting 100% voting , 2 lakh stickers in Students corners, Colleges, University,
Door to Door Campaign for No to NOTA awareness. He further informed that ABVP is going to
organize 5 rath Yatras throughout the state which is going to cover panchayat level voters in
which 100% voting is going to be promoted. Various nukkad Nataks and Flash mob programme
are going to be Organised on 9th and 10th. This voter awareness Campaign is going to end with
Jan Sabhas at different district headquarters.
While concluding the press conference ABVP asked the people of J&K to support the campaign
of ABVP by joining this campaign in big numbers.
