Today students of Government Higher Secondary School Sartingal Under the banner of ABVP held a strong protest demonstration against the state government and Education department. The protest started at 9:00AM in the morning and concluded at 11:00AM.
The protest was led by ABVP school President Abhimanyu Padha. Students boycotted the classes today and locked the gate from outside and protested against the education department raising the slogan of
J&k Govt. Murdabad
Education Department murdabad...
The main reason behind the protest was the deaf and dumb policy of the administration as well as the education department towards the demands of the students.The school lacks teaching faculty in subject of English, and moreover the students were not provided proper classrooms and were made to study inside the principal office or in the open ground. It is a very shameful matter that lot of efforts were made by the Principal as well as the students by submitting memorandums to the higher authorities, but each time the students have to face disappointment. Even after the recent visit of Chief Education officer did not prove to be fruitful. Finally today students of Government higher secondary school Sartingal came on the roads and protested against the education department and State Moreover the local people also showed their presence and support to the protest held by the students. Meanwhile Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Naib-Tehsildar Bhaderwah and SHO Bhaderwah also came on the protest site. Tehsildar Bhaderwah assured the students that their problems will be solved within days and the students will be provided their basic facilities as soon as possible. Due to lack of infrastructure regarding classrooms tents on temporary basis shall be provided within days and desks will be provided within 1-2 days.The other problems regarding worse conditions of Washrooms and Drinking facility will be also solved within days.The protest concluded after the assurance of Tehsildar Bhaderwah and other personalities present on the spot.
